This is a reproduction of "Our Jack" of 1886 by Henry Scott Tuke. This masterpiece is an oil on canvas that is on display at the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society at Falmouth, Cornwall, England. Tuke was fascinated by the beauty of young men and their association with the sea and sailing ships. He painted hundreds of works that featured a group of models that he collected. Among those models was Jack Rolwing who is the subject of this masterpiece that shows Falmouth in the background. In 1914 he was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts having established himself as an independent artist who could afford to work in France, Italy and the West Indies. Tuke died in Falmouth, Cornwall at the age of seventy.
