Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

This is a reproduction of “Washing the Horse” of 1909 by Juaquin Sorolla. Sorolla was born in Valencia in 1863. Orphaned at the age of two, he began studying painting in 1877 and went to Madrid four years later to study in the Museo del Prado. In 1885 he moved to Rome and Paris. He returned to Spain in 1890 and within three years was the acknowledged leader of the Spanish modern movement. He maintained that position with prodigious creativity until he suffered a stroke in 1920. He died three years later. This masterpiece is an oil on canvas and measures 80.7 by 98.4 inches and resides in the Sorolla Museum in Madrid.

Juaquin Sorolla

Troy Caperton was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1949. Raised in South Louisiana from 1953, he graduated from Baylor University in 1976 and pursued a Masters in History at the University of Louisiana until 1988 when he moved to Austin, Texas. For over ten years Caperton has been selling his original art and reproductions of original work and the masters through various portals on the Internet. One of his works won a Jurors Prize at Austins Art Erotica in 2010. He has always been employed in helping positions and continues to produce works for the enjoyment of the public.
