Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

This is a reproduction of "Victory, O Lord!" by John Everett Millais of 1871. It is a depiction of Moses being supported by his brother Aaron and Hur during the battle of Rephidim against the Amalekites as recorded in Exodus 17. Millais was forty-two when he created this masterpiece and was one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite School. This work dates from the period in which the artist grew bolder in his use of color and drama and marks a significant transition in his style. He was very influential among British artists and died in 1896. This masterpiece is 141.3 cm wide and 194.7 cm high and is in the Manchester Art Museum in Manchester, England.If you are interested in commissioning an oil painting on canvas of this art print, please send me an email attroy@trycap.com.

John Everett Millais

Troy Caperton was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1949. Raised in South Louisiana from 1953, he graduated from Baylor University in 1976 and pursued a Masters in History at the University of Louisiana until 1988 when he moved to Austin, Texas. For over ten years Caperton has been selling his original art and reproductions of original work and the masters through various portals on the Internet. One of his works won a Jurorís Prize at Austinís Art Erotica in 2010. He has always been employed in helping positions and continues to produce works for the enjoyment of the public.
