Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. This is a reproduction of the “Vercingetorix” by Lionel Royer of 1899. The artist was French and was discovered by his general when he volunteered for the Franco-Purssian War in 1870 at the age of eighteen. He studied under Cabanel and Bouguereau and won the Prix de Rome in 1882. He had an active career concentrating on historical paintings, particularly concerning Joan of Arc. He died in 1926. This work was one of his most acclaimed and was created when he was forty-seven years old. It is an oil on canvas in the Museum Crozatier at Puy-en-Velay, France.

Troy Caperton was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1949. Raised in South Louisiana from 1953, he graduated from Baylor University in 1976 and pursued a Masters in History at the University of Louisiana until 1988 when he moved to Austin, Texas. For over ten years Caperton has been selling his original art and reproductions of original work and the masters through various portals on the Internet. One of his works won a Jurors Prize at Austins Art Erotica in 2010. He has always been employed in helping positions and continues to produce works for the enjoyment of the public.
