Artist's Description
This is a reproduction of Michelangelo’s masterpiece of 1541, The Last Judgement. The is one of the greatest art works of all time. The Florentine Master completed the work at the age of sixty-six years, twenty-five years after the completion of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. This work is on the altar wall of the same room. Unfortunately the work was painted over to cover genitalia after Michelangelo’s death in 1564. This is where Papal Elections are held and the work was restored between 1980 and 1994. The work has inspired artists since its completion until the present day.

About Michelangelo Buonarroti
Troy Caperton was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1949. Raised in South Louisiana from 1953, he graduated from Baylor University in 1976 and pursued a Masters in History at the University of Louisiana until 1988 when he moved to Austin, Texas. For over ten years Caperton has been selling his original art and reproductions of original work and the masters through various portals on the Internet. One of his works won a Juror’s Prize at Austin’s Art Erotica in 2010. He has always been employed in helping positions and continues to produce works for the enjoyment of the public.
