Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

George Hemming Mason was born in 1818 in Stoke-upo-Trent and trained to be a doctor until at age twenty-six when he devoted himself to painting. He set up a studio in Rome the next year. He developed a unique style of painting with his friend Giovanni Costa while in Italy from 1845 to 1858. When he returned to England he became depressed but was encouraged by his friend Frederick Leighton who stimulated his production of new work. He because known for his landscapes characterized by fluid brushwork and rich coloring. This masterpiece of 1872 shows this to great advantage. He died the same year of a heart attack at home on October 22. This painting is an oil on canvas and measures 340.2 by 909.8 inches. It is on display at the Tate Gallery in London. George Mason

Troy Caperton was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1949. Raised in South Louisiana from 1953, he graduated from Baylor University in 1976 and pursued a Masters in History at the University of Louisiana until 1988 when he moved to Austin, Texas. For over ten years Caperton has been selling his original art and reproductions of original work and the masters through various portals on the Internet. One of his works won a Jurorís Prize at Austinís Art Erotica in 2010. He has always been employed in helping positions and continues to produce works for the enjoyment of the public.
