Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. This is a reproduction of the “Telemachus killing the Suitors” by Louis Vincent Paliere. This native of Bordeaux won the Prix de Rome in 1812 at the age of twenty-five. He died eight years later in Bordeaux leaving a legacy of fine painting that was carried on by his descendants. The mythological scene is a famous one from Homer’s Odyssey in which Odysseus and his son Telemachus kill the suitors for the hand of Penelope.

Troy Caperton was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1949. Raised in South Louisiana from 1953, he graduated from Baylor University in 1976 and pursued a Masters in History at the University of Louisiana until 1988 when he moved to Austin, Texas. For over ten years Caperton has been selling his original art and reproductions of original work and the masters through various portals on the Internet. One of his works won a Jurors Prize at Austins Art Erotica in 2010. He has always been employed in helping positions and continues to produce works for the enjoyment of the public.
