Description
This is a reproduction of “Sunset over Superstition Mountain” of 2014 by Dennis Ciscel. This mountain east of Phoenix, Arizona anchors a chain of mountains which surround it. They play a significant role in the legend of the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine. According to Apache legends, the mountains contain a hole into the Lower World from which come the severe dust storms of the Phoenix area.
