Artist's Description
This is reproduction of “Male Nude in the Studio of Bonnat” of 1877 by Lauritis Tuxin. The Danish artist was twenty four years old when he completed this as a student of Leon Bonnat in Paris. He returned to Copenhagen in the next decade bringing Naturalism to influence Danish artists. He was the first head of the Kunstnernes Frie Studieskoler, an art school established in the 1880’s as an alternaive education to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He died on November 21, 1927 and this painting is in the Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen, Denmark. It measures 92 x 78 centimeters.

About Lauritis Tuxin
Troy Caperton was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1949. Raised in South Louisiana from 1953, he graduated from Baylor University in 1976 and pursued a Masters in History at the University of Louisiana until 1988 when he moved to Austin, Texas. For over ten years Caperton has been selling his original art and reproductions of original work and the masters through various portals on the Internet. One of his works won a Jurors Prize at Austins Art Erotica in 2010. He has always been employed in helping positions and continues to produce works for the enjoyment of the public.
