Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. This painting depicts the myth of Hercules fighting off Death as he comes for the willing death-victim of King Admetus of Thessaly. Apollo had tricked Death not to take his lover Admetus but only on condition that a voluntary replacement be found for him. After many attempts, the victim was found in the wife of Admetus, Alcestis. The play Alcestis was produced in 438 B.C. and is probably the earliest of nineteen surviving plays of Euripides.

Troy Caperton was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1949. Raised in South Louisiana from 1953, he graduated from Baylor University in 1976 and pursued a Masters in History at the University of Louisiana until 1988 when he moved to Austin, Texas. For over ten years Caperton has been selling his original art and reproductions of original work and the masters through various portals on the Internet. One of his works won a Juror’s Prize at Austin’s Art Erotica in 2010. He has always been employed in helping positions and continues to produce works for the enjoyment of the public.
