Description
This is a reproduction of "Allegory of Water" of about 1700 by Jeronimo Ezquerra. This Baroque masterpiece was created by the artist when he was about forty years old. He was court painter to Philip V and also was a highly respected art appraiser. This work was one of four allegories of the elements, Earth, Air, Fire and Water, for Palacio del Buen Retiro. The artist died in 1733. This work is 160 cm wide and 248 cm high and is in the Museo del Prado in Madrid.
